What Food Is Served At Your Favorite NFL Stadium?

No matter where you are from, you are born into being a fan of a specific sports team. This could be because you personally love the team or you would be disowned from your family if you didn't follow in their footsteps. Each team has a set of customs that their fans take as their own. Some of these customs include team chants, clothing and sometimes food. All of us here at Food for Your Mood are from different parts of the East Coast and have our favorite football teams that we grew up rooting for. Although we support different teams, we all share the same amount of team spirit and love for the famous food each team provides at the stadium. For me and Sophia, we are die hard Giants fans. We aren't too thrilled that they share the same stadium as the Jets, but we love their famous "Global Pies". For Deanna, being from Connecticut is a given that she is a Patriots fan and will without a doubt be getting the fish and chips at the game. Christie is the closest to JMU which means she is naturally a Redskins fan. Redskins fans take chicken and waffles to a whole new level with fried chicken and red velvet waffles. Here are more details on the best food to get at out favorite football teams stadium:

KELSEY AND SOPHIA

METLIFE STADIUM: GLOBAL PIES

The Teams: New York Giants and New York Jets The Town: East Rutherford, New Jersey The Dish: Anything (yes anything) can be stuffed inside of these empanada-style hand pies, which have filling inspired by cuisine from all over the world. Salisbury steak, chicken sofrito, mozzarella and tomato, Tijuana sweet corn and the New Yorker are some of the options—but the stadium is known to switch up the menu depending on the time of year and opponent.

DEANNA

GILLETTE STADIUM: FISH AND CHIPS

The Team: New England Patriots The Town: Foxborough, Massachusetts The Dish: The British are coming—well, in this case, the British foods are coming! Pull up to the Nantucket Sound stand for freshly-fried fish fillets served with a big fist full of fries and creamy tartar sauce for dipping.

CHRISTIE

FEDEX FIELD: FRIED CHICKEN & RED VELVET WAFFLES

The Team: Washington Redskins The Town: Landover, Maryland The Dish: Satisfy every sweet and salty craving you have with these fried chicken tenderloins stacked between a red velvet waffle, drizzled with maple syrup and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Served on the club level of the stadium, the combo is a not-so-subtle nod to the Skins' burgundy and gold team colors.
