Beat Test Anxiety


It is safe to say that test anxiety may be the worst type of anxiety. Jitters, nail biting and dizziness are normal symptoms to experience before a test. I lose my appetite and feel as though my brain will melt as soon as I pick up an exam sometimes. However, I have learned that eating habits have the ability to help or worsen your test anxiety.

Make sure to stock up on protein the morning of an exam. The brain boosting powers will help your recharge your memory and help you stay focused. Try blueberries, yogurt, eggs, or bananas. My favorite pre-test meal is an egg over avocado toast; it is filling and fueling.

Try to stay away from anything with refined sugars right before a test. So no muffins, cakes or artificial sweets. These foods will ensure you stay sluggish all day, and will inhibit your test-tasking potential.
